Commission update.....

Today I finished wrapping the first pole of my Kent-garden commission (hurrah!), and here it it is in a cut and shut style photograph:

The photograph had to be taken on my stairs as the pole is so long that it won't stand up-right anywhere else! The pole is 3.6m long, with a 2.74m (9ft) section wrapped, so it's pretty damn large. Indeed, I had to move my bedroom around to wrap it. Thankfully it managed to fit in perfectly and I wrapped it without too much bother. I forgot how vibrant and lovely the plastic lancing is once wrapped around the wood; so pretty! I feel like I have the technique far more perfected now; it's nice to finally know what I'm doing.
