Death by Jumbrella

Images from my recent installation of outdoor work, Death by Jumbrella, for the Art in the Garden exhibition at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey, Hampshire.

The exhibition runs until 30th October 2011.

Overall view of all 5 poles (it was very difficult to get them all in, and it's so green!)

A close-up before installation (shows the difference between the plastic lacing and the plastic tubing)

Horizontal close-up

A practice installation on Brighton beach a few days before the real thing (I could only carry two poles down there!). I wanted to see if putting 60cm of the pole below ground provided enough stability (it did!).

Close-up beach shot (it was a beautiful, sunny morning!)
